boy, it's been a long time

Well hello hello it has been a long long time. I should have a lot to write about and I probably do, but I just can't seem to get my thoughts together to put down all that I should. So what I'm going to do is just write down what I've been doing and thinking and liking in no particular order, an oil spill of thoughts if I may. First off, I'm filling in at work for a good friend of mine who broke his arm surfing the waves where Maverick is held at. Hang in there Luke, and just another reason why I won't going surfing with you. #1 the water is effing cold #2 SHARKS man, I know they are out there #3 Salt water makes me gag, and the newest reasons #4 big waves break bones. This new responsibility is a part time thing until Luke is back. The title is Plant Health Care Technician. What I do is call people to schedule appointments to fertilize their trees. It's pretty easy, no wait so far it's been I'm falling asleep damn easy, but I'm glad to get the opportunity to learn another side of the tree business, Thanks Hefe Jason. Now my other responsibilities on the other hand have the tendency to be, how can I put this. Back breaking, leg aching, and entire body exhausting. Side note, if you ever need gloves and my buddy Jason is your boss, don't ask him to pick some up for you. He will bring you pink gloves. Lesson learned, be prepared.
Well like most years for Christmas I seem to be able to give me my Christmas present early. Thanks for the Wii mom. Sarah loves it. This gift was great. I really like the Wii. The only problem is Sarah loves it. My xbox doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Too bad to, because I just got two great games. Assassins Creed II, AAAAWESOME. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 pretty good.

Now this wouldn't be a Dash post if it didn't involve a few tunes that I'm loving right now. Alicia Keys damn you. You did it agai,n you sultry vixen you. Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart is my Jam. I could listen to this little diddy on repeat all day long. The other two, Matt and Kim, thank you again Skip, and La Roux. La Roux is fun synth type stuff. A lot of her songs are good so check them out. I'm out, I gots to go buy yarn. See ya in like 6 months. Hopefully not, but I'm not making any promises.

An interesting 7 days

So I wanted to write a quick little blerp about an interesting and eventful 7 days I've had. First event was small but pretty friggn' awesome all the same. I'm at work at work, Toby is in the bucket truck pruning a big eucalyptus tree, and right there on one of the branches I see a squirrel take 3 hops to 3 branches and then take flight about 50 feet up and sail safely to the ground, suuuuweeeeet.

Well San Francisco sucks for parking, and at times I've had to park a few blocks away from my apartment. One afternoon I had to walk to my car and there at my car is where I saw cool moment #2. A couple in a little nook on the street making out like crazy. First I thought the dude was homeless and the girl was a street walker if you catch my drift. First impression was definitely wrong, they were just a really odd looking couple who liked to get it on in the alley. The chicks leg was up against the wall and they one layer of clothing from a full on x rated session. Priceless.

This next thing was definitely topped all the other. Getting a little lunch when low and behold, what comes riding by outside on the street. A train of naked bikers. Men and women, mostly men, naked from head to toe. Yes I did see some wieners, and some boobies. Hilarious. I don't know why I was notified of naked bike riding day.

The Beach

It's crazy, I live so close to the beach. I still can't wrap my brain around it. It's just right there. I see the bay everyday, I drive by it going to work. Then in the city, everything is in my grasp, whatever I'm thinking, high class dining or hole in the wall dive. I've have the option of hanging in the city with mass crowds or going a little bit south to a little more low key experience. All of this is no more than 15 minutes away. I'm liking it here, yeah did I mention the ocean is 10 minutes away. It's pretty cool, I'll just drive there just to look at it.

First Few Days In San Francisco

So I've been in the cit for 3 days now, and it has been, kinda busy slow. I'm going to start with my Tuesday morning early drive. Honestly I had not yet felt how real moving was until about three hours in to the drive. Right about here on my trip..... ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I was cruising down the freeway, listening to the mix Eric made me "Your friends are all in Utah, listen to their music" and it kinda hit me. Wow I'm really moving. Side note, what a great mix Eric put together. It took me down memory lane of a lot of good times. Anyway, I have to say I'm going to miss everyone back home alot. However I still feel this was the right decision for me
These past few days here I've been filling out a lot of paperwork. I've filled out papers for work and watched safety videos. I been to the DMV numerous times trying to get a license. Today I spent 3 hours there. It started out waiting in a line to wait in a line, after about an hour I was able to talk to someone. There I gave them my forms for my CDL license, my papers I was given after I passed my physical etc... It was a pain but after all that they took my picture, and my fingerprints and I was given three tests. One was the regular driving written test, the second was the CDL written test, and the third was an airbrake test. I passed the regular, failed the second by one question, and failed the third by two questions. They let me look at the two I failed and then retake them. This time around I barely passed the CDL without any questions to spare, and failed the Airbrake by one freakn' question. At this time I couldn't take it anymore I was hungry and frustrated so I figured I'd come back on monday and try for my final attempt. Pain in the ass.

The Convention

So I've always wanted to go to a Tattoo convention and this year is no different. The only problem is it's snowing like a beast right now, and I really don't like driving to Salt Lake in the snow. In addition to that problem, I have to be back in Syracuse to rock the house in a little fund raiser for this Baptist Church/School. It probably wont be that rocky unless you like a few cover songs from Paul McCartney to Jason Mraz. Well, my hopes of going to the convention are not completely extinguished. It's going on tomorrow, and I'll go alone if I have to. Check out this link to Fox News, my artist is interviewed. His name is Mike J he is wearing the hat and glasses. Look for the Tattoo convention story in the Top Stories list.

Couch Surfing....What

So I am member of a online community called couch surfing (www.couchsurfing.com). Sunday night I got to host someone for the first time. I've been a member for close to a year now, and nobody ever took the opportunity to stay on my couch in one of the most action packed cities ever, Ogden. Apparently Ogden isn't a hot spot on the traveling circuit, go figure. Anyway, this dude from Oregon needed a place to sleep for the night, he is moving to Colorado and need a place to crash to break up his drive. He said there weren't a lot of couches available in the Ogden area, hmmmm I guess he had to settle for mine. Well I'm still breathing, my neck wasn't slick in the middle of the night, this guy was pretty cool. Ok actually he was a like a way cooler version of myself. First he just got his masters in French, ok I'm working on my degree in French. He spent a year in France, holy shit I'm trying to get to France for a year. He just decided to sell everything and move to Colorado, no job, just a place to set up base camp. Helllllllo, I've a had that bug in me for a long time, and if I can't go to France then, au revoir Utah. So this dude definitely is cooler then me, he did this all and is 3 yrs younger than me. Bastard!!! No, so all in all my couch surfing experience was a great success and hopefully I can host others, because when the time comes, I hope to be loungeing on others couches. Karma right, that's what I keep telling myself.
